Help! End Times Prophecy Scares Me

Q. I will admit I haven't read the entire bible and do not go to church but I have a strong faith in the lord and his wonderful work. I was directed to your site by a friend, and am a little worried about everything related to "the end". I read the 7 things that are supposed to happen when the end is near and I am pretty terrified now. I am hoping someone can give me some peace of mind and maybe tell me I read something wrong. I am afraid of the terrible things to happen with the weather, disease, starvation, etc. It sounds like things are going to get so incredibly terrible in this world and we may suffer great death and endure torture before the lord will come. Is this true? Can you tell me something to educate me further? Thank you for your help!

A. In the article you read there's a section entitled "The Purpose of the Rapture." It's #4 of the Seven Things You Have To Know and now you see why. No sane person, upon learning of the severity of End Times Judgments, would feel any differently than you do, which is pretty terrified. If you read #4 again you'll see that the Church will be hidden safely out of harm's way during all these judgments.

Whether you go to church or not doesn't matter, nor does how much of the Bible you've read. What matters is that you've received the pardon for your sins that the Lord purchased for you with His life. You do this by admitting to the Lord that you're a sinner and asking Him to be your Savior.

If you've done that and believe in your heart that He died for you and rose again, then you're a member of His Church and will be whisked off with the rest of us to safety before the End Times judgments begin. If you haven't done that, then find a Bible believing Church in your area and tell the Pastor you want to be saved. He'll know what to do. If you need help finding one, tell me where you live and I'll help you.
